Robert C. Scott, P.E.
Mr. Scott has significant experience and expertise in engineering management, design and development programs, and the producibility of equipment. Under Mr. Scott's direction, products are engineered from the start to satisfy manufacturing, price and time-to-market objectives. Based on his added expertise in computers used in control applications (embedded controller hardware and software), electromagnetic compatibility, and communications, Mr. Scott is highly proficient in adapting precision products to rugged environments.Electronic Design and Production
Program ManagerMr. Scott worked for Southwest Energy Control Systems, Inc., as Director of Product Development (12 years), for Scientific Machines and Datacare, Inc., as Chief Engineer (6 years), and Collins Radio Company as a Design Engineer. Additionally, Mr. Scott has been in private practice for several years and has served on the Board of Directors of a Mechanical/Electrical Consulting Engineering Firm (Encon Corporation). Presently, Mr. Scott is President of The Jamesport Group. A graduate of New Mexico State University with a B.S.E.E., Mr. Scott is a Registered Professional Engineer.
L. Scott Hazlewood
Mr. Hazlewood has broad in-depth experience in the development of both digital and analog circuitry and its attendant introduction into production. His work experience includes several years at Texas Instruments and thirteen years at Southwest Energy Control Systems, Inc., where he was a Senior Engineer and Project Manager.Electronic Design and Production
Program ManagerMr. Hazlewood's design and development experience covers a wide range of products from the simple device found in the home to almost failure proof, rugged environment control equipment used to monitor flows and temperatures. Other significant products include data entry devices, high-end point of sale systems, other embedded controllers, and communications equipment. Now in private practice, Mr. Hazlewood is Vice President and Program Manager for The Jamesport Group.
E. Michael Gregory, P.E.
Analog and Digital CircuitsMr. Gregory is a highly experienced electrical and environmental engineering consultant. His background includes electrical systems design and analysis, instrumentation system design, stochastic process and statistical analysis, mathematical modeling and algorithm development, forensic engineering, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Gregory has significant experience in the design and development of both analog and digital circuits and measurement and leak detection systems for hazardous fuels. He has special expertise in the analysis of circuits (filters and others) and its attendant software.
With more than twenty years experience, Mr. Gregory has worked for Tidel Systems as Chief Electronic Engineer, for Rockwell International and Seismic Engineering as a Design Engineer, and as a college instructor. He has been in private practice since 1985, and is president of Gregory Consulting, Inc. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University with an M.S.E.E. and B.S.E.E., Mr. Gregory is a Registered Professional Engineer and is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Scott Allred
Analog and Digital Circuit DesignMr. Allred is experienced in the design of gate arrays, various programmed logic devices, and general embedded controllers. His background also includes work with general radio circuitry and the manufacturing of several types of electronic devices. Mr. Allred also has experience in project management for multiple design projects as well as major network management.
Mr. Allred is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a B.S.E.E.
F. Michael Belue
Mechanical Design and Production
Regulatory Agency InterfaceMr. Belue is an expert in hydraulics, packaging and machine motion, and has an extensive background in sheet metal, metal structures, and various casting techniques. He has solid experience in the design, development and manufacture of positive displacement liquid meters, fuel dispensers, filters and filtration systems, flow indicating, and mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic counting and computing devices. Mr. Belue has served as liaison with Underwriters Laboratories, Weights and Measures, and several international regulatory and standards organizations.
Mr. Belue worked for Southwest Pump Company as Vice President for Mechanical Engineering, Keene Corporation as Chief Product Engineer and Project Engineer, and Gilbarco, Inc., as a Development Engineer. Mr. Belue is in private practice (Belue Associates); he is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S.M.E. and is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Ben A. Jones
Mechanical Design
ProducibilityMr. Jones is a seasoned professional design and producibility engineer. His broad work experience includes more than twenty years of senior design work at Texas Instruments in the Defense Systems Group and at TPA, Inc., where systems included electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic valve positioned designs.
Mr. Jones received his B.S.M.E. from the University of Texas at Austin. How in private practice, he is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Petros Kyprios, P.E.
Thermal and Structural Design
Stress AnalysisMr. Kyprios is an innovative, dynamic problem solver for product development and manufacturing environments. He has an exceptional background in the thermal design of electronic equipment, electronic packaging, structural design, fluid flow, and machine design from conceptual design to production.
With more than twenty-five years of professional engineering work experience which included employment with Texas Instruments in the Missile Systems Division and with International Power Machines, Mr. Kyprios is now in private practice.
Mr. Kyprios received a B.S. degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin and his Masters in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. He is affiliated with several professional engineering societies and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Kyprios is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
James F. Sellars, Jr.
Industrial DesignMr. Sellars has broad experience and expertise in all phases of Industrial Design. Particular experience includes graphic, ergonomic studies, human factors modeling, product design, and presentations. He is an expert in making the unique appear attractive.
Mr. Sellars worked for Recognition Equipment, Inc., as the Senior Corporate Industrial Designer, Litton Medical Systems as the Senior Industrial Designer, and for Motorola, Inc., as an Industrial Designer. Mr. Sellars has been in private practice with his company, Sellars Design, since 1989.
Mr. Sellars is a member of The Industrial Design Society of America and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from The Art Institute of Chicago. He is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Richard Rainbolt
Software EngineeringMr. Rainbolt is a noted software development engineer. His areas of expertise include embedded controllers, operating systems, and micro controllers. Among his more prominent achievements is the development of a space based biological experiment control system for NASA. This system has been flown on the MIR Space Station, and current plans include it's use aboard the forthcoming Space Station Alpha. Other noted products include two retail point-of-sale systems, one of which was acquired and marketed by Tokyo Electric Company, one of the world's largest POS retailers.
In private practice for more than seventeen years, Mr. Rainbolt has served as a consultant to Schlumberger, TEC, Ensoniq, Southwest Energy Controls, Union Pacific RR, Pande Resources, and others. He is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Carmen Gregory
Software EngineeringMs. Gregory has extensive experience in software design, coding and implementation for real time on-line systems as well as embedded controllers. She is a competent circuit designer as well. As a software engineer, she has designed and coded Class 5 telecommunication switches, various controllers, fault isolation software, and bit-slice processors.
With more than fifteen years experience, Ms. Gregory has worked for Rockwell International, E- Systems and LTV. Ms. Gregory holds a B.S.E.E. from Louisiana Tech; she has been in private practice and is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Matthew M. Housey
Software EngineeringMr. Housey has a wide range of software design, coding, and integration experience with embedded controller systems. Applications of the controller systems include the monitoring of multiple flow meters and printing the results, robotic device interface, and temperature controllers in the cellular industry. He has worked with different manufacturers of embedded controllers and has proven his ability to adapt to new controllers and new systems.
Mr. Housey has managed projects dealing with specifications design, heavy client interaction, and critical deadline requirements. In addition he has solid experience in meeting the demands of various regulatory agencies. Mr. Housey is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Joanna Pullig
Software EngineeringMs. Pullig is a recent graduate of Texas A & M University with a B.S.E.E. She received an A & M Lechner Scholarship, a National Merit Scholarship and was given the Dean's Honor Award in Engineering.
Ms. Pullig has been in private practice since graduation and has proven to be an outstanding software developer and trouble shooter, the mark of an engineer of much more experience.
Ms. Pullig is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Larry L. Hilley
Software EngineeringMr. Hilley is an expert in the application of embedded control engines. His expertise extends all the way from artificial intelligence and optical and speech recognition, to operating systems. With over thirty years experience and work with a wide variety of equipment, Mr. Hilley has the know-how to complete complex projects in a timely manner.
Mr. Hilley is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics and has been in private practice for more than fifteen years. He is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
David M. Staggs, P.E.
Electromagnetic CompatibilityMr. Stages has more than twenty-five years experience in the various elements of electromagnetic compatibility especially as the field applies to computer equipment. His expertise qualifies him in the testing, protection, and competent design for grounding, radio frequency interference both conducted and radiated, and power line perturbations.
Mr. Staggs is a Senior Member of the I.E.E.E. He is Chairperson of the American National Standards Institute Accredited Standards Committee C63.4 Working Group on Electrostatic Discharge and is the author of numerous papers. He has previously chaired several other groups and committees and is currently on contract to the National Institute of Standards and Technology National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation for EMC Test Laboratories. Mr. Staggs has worked for Xerox Corporation, Texas Instruments, EMCO and Dell Computer. He is a registered professional Engineer and is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
John Barnett, Jr., P.E.
Radio Frequency Design EngineeringMr. Barnett is a well recognized expert in the various forms of radio communications. His wide ranging experience varies from high power transceivers to cellular telephones to low power, local communications. With more than twenty-five years experience in radio frequency equipment design, both with Texas Instruments and in private practice, Mr. Barnett brings extensive expertise and knowledge to product development. In addition, Mr. Barnett has served as a member of several standards committees throughout his career.
Mr. Barnett is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S.E.E. and is a Registered Professional Engineer. He is currently President of Wireless Communications Systems, Inc., and is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
Jack W. Kogel
National Sales ManagerMr. Kogel is a proven sales professional with an outstanding track record in sales and sales management assignments. After a successful career start in electrical design with McGill Manufacturing Company, Mr. Kogel assumed a sales territory assignment for that company and later joined the MicroSwitch Division of Honeywell Inc., in a similar capacity.
With the MicroSwitch Division for more than twenty-five years as a Sales Representative, Account Executive, and Branch Manager, Mr. Kogel was a consistent qualifier for Honeywell's President's Club and 100% Club. He is a Charter Member of the Board of Directors for the Honeywell Professional Sales Organization, and award reserved only for those who have consistently achieved at the top of their profession.
Mr. Kogel received a B.S.E.E. from Valpariso University and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Hartford.
Gayle C. Tinsley
Manager of Business DevelopmentMr. Tinsley has more than thirty years of senior management experience with high tech companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 100 Corporations. His responsibilities have included hands-on management of multiple key business functions in computer, office products, and telecommunications companies.
Since 1988, Mr. Tinsley has been assisting small businesses with start-up, major expansion, and restructuring activities. His clients have been from varied industries and primary activities have included business plan development, capital funding, creating and implementing sales and marketing plans, product planning and development schedules, and recruiting key personnel.
Mr. Tinsley has held key positions with IBM, Xerox, Docutel/Olivetti, and VMX. As one of the founders of Docutel Corporation, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of that company during the development and installation of the first Automated Teller Machine in the U.S. Banking Industry. He received both his B.S. and Master's Degrees from East Texas State University.
William C. Crawley
Marketing and Advertising
Graphic DesignMr. Crawley has an established track record in marketing management and advertising. His more than twenty years experience includes the creation, development and implementation of business strategies and programs to achieve sales and profit objectives; the design enhancement of both new and existing products to increase profitability, and the creation of sales presentation strategies, advertising themes and display hardware to promote products.
Mr. Crawley was Marketing Manager for seventeen years at Southwest Energy Control Systems, Inc. Prior to that, he worked for 2 years at Geophysical Services Inc., a parent company of Texas Instruments. Since 1991, he has been in private practice with his company Presentation Arts. Mr. Crawley is an Associate of The Jamesport Group.
